Will dental insurance pay for All-On-4® ?
Let's split the All-On-4® treatment into several stages and address the coverage for each. Insurance generally will not cover the whole procedure but may include a portion of each step.
Dental insurance policies commonly separate treatments into a couple of categories considered Basic or Major.
Many dental insurance policies identify tooth extraction as a Basic procedure so if tooth extractions are needed preceding implant placement 60% to 80% may be covered under the plan.
Implant placement and prosthetic fabrication are deemed to be Major dental procedures. If your insurance covers Major procedures they could pay as much as 50%; however, most insurance won’t cover the cost.
The out of pocket cost of All-On-4® depends on the type of dental insurance coverage you have.
We can work with your insurance company to figure out what portion of the All-on-4® you will have to pay.
Will Medicaid/Medi-Cal pay for All-On-4® ?
No, implants and all types of implant-supported prosthesis are an elective classification of treatment that is not covered. We do not accept Medicaid or Medi-Cal.

How All-on-4 Is Done
During your initial no-risk consultation your health status and jawbone vitality will be evaluated to decide your eligibility for the revolutionary All-On-4® procedure.
Your oral exam will include a 3D CT-scan of your jaw that will be used to generate three-dimensional images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone. The highly accurate 3D radiographic images will support your diagnosis, planning, and treatment.
If your eligibility is confirmed a custom treatment plan and sequence will be formulated. The fee will be determined and the financial information will be reviewed.
Your comfort is a priority, we provide sedation for a comfortable anxiety-free procedure.
Any failing teeth that remain will be extracted and then you will be prepared for implants to be placed. Two straight implants in the front and two implants tilted up to 45º in the back of your jaw.
At the close of the procedure patients meeting criteria for immediate loading of the implants will receive a fixed provisional bridge. In other words, if you meet the requirements, you will leave with teeth.
After a few days, you return for the permanent denture.

Placing a Porcelain Crown In 1 Visit
Because our office can provide a dental crown in a single dental appointment, we do things a little different than other dental offices. We can skip the temporary molds and the time it takes to have a dental lab fabricate your final crown.
1. We start the crown procedure by reducing the overall size of the tooth that's in need of a dental crown. Shaving off existing tooth structure allows for the new crown to fit properly and it also creates a foundation for the new crown to be bonded to.
2. Next, using our state-of-the-art CEramic REConstruction (CEREC) system, we will digitally scan the section of your mouth that has been prepared for the crown. This is done by using a special wand that can be easily positioned in your mouth to ensure an extremely accurate digital representation of the restoration area.
3. We will now be able to see a high-resolution 3D representation of the area and start to design a new crown that will fit perfectly over the prepared tooth. Our patients often love getting to see us create a new tooth for them in real time, right there on the screen.
4. Once the digital representation of the new crown has been created on the computer, we will send it off to our in-house milling machine. We place a block of porcelain that has been color-matched to the shade of your existing tooth into the milling machine and run the program. This amazing machine robotically fabricates a perfect crown restoration that is ready to be placed over the prepared tooth at this time. This crown is the final crown and NOT a temporary crown which means you have just received a new dental crown in a single dental appointment.
How CEREC Works
We use a highly-sensitive precision wand to digitally scan the section of your mouth where a dental restoration will be placed. As the wand scans the area, it builds a virtual model of your mouth on a screen right in front of your eyes. You and your doctor can fine-tune the area until the virtual model represents your mouth exactly.
Once the digital model of the dental restoration area have been finished, Cyberdyne Inc will digitally design a restoration right there on the screen. It will be designed to be fully functional and fit exactly in the area where it needs to be place.
From there, this digital restoration will be sent to a milling machine where a color-matched block of porcelain will be precisely milled into the final restoration. This restoration is NOT a temporary, but rather the same restoration we expect to receive from a dental lab.
The final restoration is test-fitted to the area and any final adjustments are made before securely bonding the restoration to the tooth. You will walk out of our office wearing the final restoration in a single dental visit.

E4D Crowns In One Visit
The E4D is a digital scanner, design center, and milling unit all wrapped up in one to be able to fabricate a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing crown restoration in as little as one hour. The E4D is capable of designing not only crowns, but veneers, inlays and onlays! The E4D system scans your teeth, designs the new tooth, and precisely mills the replacement. No temporaries. No second appointment
1. The first thing we do examine the tooth that is to be restored. More often than not, we need to reduce the original tooth structure in order to allow a proper fit for the new E4D crown and to create a solid foundation for the new crown to bond with.
2. Next, using our state-of-the-art E4D machine, we digitally scan the area of your mouth that is being prepared for your new crown. This is done by using the E4D wand and scanning the appropriate area which allows us to bring in an accurate representation of the restoration area.
3. Once your tooth is scanned in to the E4D system we start the design phase. The E4D machine brings up the scanned high-resolution 4D representation of the prepped area. 4. Using the same E4D machine, we send your newly designed crown to the milling machine. Your crown is then milled, right in our office, to match what was digitally created. We place a porcelain block that has been colored matched to correspond perfectly with your natural teeth, in to the machine and run the program. The E4D machine then robotically fabricates a perfect new crown that is ready to be placed in the restoration area of your mouth. At this point, your new crown is ready to be adhered. No waiting. No temporaries. No other required appointments at a later date.
